30Gb--Isn't it a very huge amount

If you are wondering how a company like Google was offering almost 3GB of mail space in its Gmail account, then you would be more wondering how a relatively small company is offering a whopping 30GB mail space.Yeah, you heard it right-30GB.30gigs is a e-mail site which offers you a space of 30GB.They used to work on a system of invites but now they came out of it and are allowing direct registrations.About the service, the site is a bit slow(it wouldn't fit web2.0 in this sense but 30GB free e-mail puts it here).I think it has security concerns also as people have hacked their invitation system in the past. But you can use this 30GB to store your files, data etc.But take care you don't use it to store sensitive information

Goowy-A first review

Written on 9:31 AM by LuckyMurari

I wanted a nice site to start with under my reviews.I wanted to go to my favourite Google but again thought the other way.I wanted to showcase some site which is not known to many.So I took upon this site. This is a site which belongs to content management category by which I mean it is the site which acts as your webtop-a desktop environment on web(though not fully).

Ok coming to the point-Goowy.com is the site which combines the features of instant messaging, file storage,e-mail,contacts,calendar,customized news, rsses, widgets, and also some games in a simple and nice visual package. If you login to the site you will see an environment like that on your desktop where on you can access your features on clicking the 'icons'.The site is a bit(not too much) slow for the flash to load but counting on the features that can be left unconcerned. The file storage it offers is from box.net another web2.0 which I may review later. It also patches with some other web2.0 sites to give this ultimate package. And the whole point is registration there is free-that's what a web2.0 service is like.I am sure you gonna love it only if you experience.

Why 2DOT0???????????????????

Written on 7:15 AM by LuckyMurari

People who might be reading this might be wondering why I put the name 2DOT0 to my new Blog. It's a simple answer.I am gonna use this to write things about one of my interesting subjects-Web2.0 services and the sites offering them.If you don't know what web2.0 services are, then I'll clarify you.And the definition I am giving is noway standard. But this is all from my experience. If you want a standard definition see here. But you may not still find the right definition. So here's my own definition.

It's all about user friendliness and usefulness. So web2.0 services are those which are useful to a normal user, are user friendly, mostly free, with an ajaxian look(by ajaxian look I mean sites made faster and efficient mostly through Ajax). They involve the participation of the reader or the user of the site. They are like the improved version of World Wide Web.
These include social community sites, blogs, wikis,RSS feeds etc etc.

In my coming posts I'll discuss entirely about Web2.0 services, issues and organisations.Hope you will enjoy my posts here.I'll also post reviews on many web2.0 sites
